Cookies

To make your visit to our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted after the end of the browser session, i.e., after closing your browser (so-called session cookies). If you subscribe to our email newsletter, we will regularly send you information about our offers. The only mandatory information for sending the newsletter is your email address. The provision of further possible data is voluntary and is used to address you personally. For sending the newsletter, we use the double opt-in procedure. This means that we will only send you an email newsletter if you have expressly confirmed that you consent to the sending of newsletters. We will then send you a confirmation email asking you to click on a corresponding link to confirm that you wish to receive future newsletters.

By activating the confirmation link, you give us your consent to use your personal data in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. When registering for the newsletter, we store your IP address, as well as the date and time of registration, as provided by your Internet service provider (ISP), to prevent misuse of your email address at a later time. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link provided in the newsletter or by sending a corresponding message to the responsible party mentioned at the beginning. After unsubscribing, your email address will be immediately deleted from our newsletter distribution list, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use data beyond what is legally permitted and about which we inform you in this statement.

6.2 Newsletter dispatch via CleverReach

The dispatch of our email newsletters is carried out via the technical service provider CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede ("CleverReach"), to which we transmit the data provided by you during newsletter registration. This transmission is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR and serves our legitimate interest in using an effective, secure, and user-friendly newsletter system. The data you enter for newsletter subscription (e.g., email address) is stored on CleverReach's servers in Germany or Ireland.

CleverReach uses this information for sending and statistical evaluation of newsletters on our behalf. For evaluation purposes, the emails sent contain so-called web beacons or tracking pixels, which are one-pixel image files that are stored on our website. This allows us to determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links may have been clicked. The so-called conversion tracking can also be used to analyze whether a predefined action (e.g., purchase of a product on our website) has occurred after clicking on the link in the newsletter. Technical information is also recorded (e.g., time of access, IP address, browser type, and operating system). The data is collected exclusively in pseudonymized form and is not linked to your other personal data; direct personal identification is excluded. This data is used solely for the statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. The results of these analyses can be used to better tailor future newsletters to the interests of recipients.

If you wish to object to data analysis for statistical evaluation purposes, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with CleverReach, in which we obligate CleverReach to protect the data of our customers and not to disclose it to third parties.

On our website, so-called Social Plugins ("Plugins") of the social network Facebook, operated by Facebook Inc., 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA ("Facebook"), are used.

To enhance the protection of your data during your visit to our website, the plugins are initially deactivated through a so-called "2-click" solution integrated into the page. This integration ensures that when you access a page on our website that contains such plugins, no connection is made to Facebook's servers until you activate the plugins and thus give your consent for data transmission in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. To our knowledge, Facebook receives information about which of our websites you have currently and previously visited. By integrating the plugins, Facebook also receives information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page on our website, even if you do not have a Facebook profile or are not currently logged in. The collected information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a server of Facebook in the USA and stored there. If you interact with the plugins, the corresponding information is also transmitted directly to a Facebook server and stored there. The information is also published at Facebook and displayed to your contacts.

You can revoke your consent at any time by deactivating the activated plugin through a renewed click. However, the revocation has no effect on the data that has already been transmitted to Facebook.

Facebook Inc. in the USA is certified for the US-European data protection agreement "Privacy Shield," which ensures compliance with the data protection level applicable in the EU. The purpose and scope of data collection, further processing and use of data by Facebook, as well as your rights in this regard and setting options for protecting your privacy, can be found in Facebook's data protection information: https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.
